Who We Are.
The Makeup Institute was established in 1990 by a group of Professional Makeup Artist who wanted to share their experiences with new and upcoming talent. MI is dedicated to providing education in the field of Makeup Artistry and Hairstyling Techniques from the beginner level to advanced.
MI is a Private Institution whose primary objective is to provide professional training classes taught by professionals currently working in the industry. The Makeup Institute wishes to provide you with the training needed for you to become a successful Professional Makeup Artist.

What We Do.
We are a California based training facility that teaches many traveling seminars in cities throughout the United States. Our classes center around the Beauty and the Fashion Industry. MI courses are designed to prepare the student to work as an entry-level Makeup Artist in Print, Advertising, Fashion, Film/TV and the Retail Industries. When classes are taken by an experienced Makeup Artist, as continuing education, will enhance that Artist’s skill level at his/her current level of employment.
